Terms of Service
Last updated: October 11, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Elhoussin Razouki, a sole trader based in Morocco (“Ctrbuddy”, “we”, “us”). They govern your use of the Ctrbuddy website, app, API and MCP server (the “Service”). By creating an account, buying a plan or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
About these terms
Ctrbuddy is operated by Elhoussin Razouki, HAY EL QODS G A N 201, Tiflet 15400, Morocco. You can reach us at support@ctrbuddy.com.
If you use the Service on behalf of a company or other organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms for it, and “you” refers to that organization.
Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old, and old enough to enter a binding contract where you live.
- You can sign up with an email address and password or with Google. Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity on your account, including activity by AI agents or apps you connect to it. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized access.
- One person or organization may not abuse free credits.
The service
Ctrbuddy helps creators produce YouTube thumbnails and other artwork with AI. Features include chat-based thumbnail generation and editing, saved personas (identity references made from photos you upload), Channel DNA style profiles, transcript and script context, thumbnail scoring, project sharing and an MCP server for third-party AI agents.
We use third-party AI models to provide the Service. We may add, change or remove features and models over time.
Payments and Paddle
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
When you buy a plan or credits, you buy from Paddle, and Paddle’s Buyer Terms apply to the purchase. Paddle processes your payment details, calculates and collects any sales tax or VAT, and issues your invoices and receipts. We never see or store your full card details.
You can find past orders, download invoices and manage payment methods through your receipt email or at paddle.net.
Plans, credits and renewals
- New accounts receive 100 free credits to try the Service. Free credits have no cash value.
- Paid plans (such as Starter, Pro and Max) are subscriptions billed monthly or yearly in advance. Current prices and the credits each plan includes are shown on our pricing page and at checkout, before you pay.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price until you cancel. By subscribing you authorize Paddle to charge your payment method on each renewal.
- Each billing cycle resets your plan credits to your plan’s allowance. Unused plan credits do not roll over. Credits from one-time top-up purchases are kept across renewals while your account is active.
- Credits are spent when you use features such as chat messages, image generation and edits, scoring, transcript context and creating personas or Channel DNA profiles. The cost of an action can depend on your image settings and is shown in the app. Credits spent on a generation that fails because of an error on our side are returned automatically.
- Credits are a license to use the Service, not currency. They cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged for cash.
- We may change prices or plan allowances. We will give you at least 14 days’ notice before a price change affects your next renewal, so you can cancel first.
Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account’s subscription page. Cancellation stops future renewals. You keep access to your plan and remaining credits until the end of the current billing period.
Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy. In short, you can request a refund within 14 days of a purchase or renewal if you have used less than 10% of the credits it granted. Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory consumer rights.
Your content and AI output
“Your Content” means what you upload or submit, such as photos, reference images, channel links, transcripts and prompts. “Output” means the images, text and scores the Service generates for you.
- You keep ownership of Your Content. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, transmit and display Your Content only as needed to run, secure and improve the Service for you, including sending it to our AI providers to generate results.
- Output is yours. As between you and us, and to the extent the law allows, you own the Output and may use it for any lawful purpose, including commercially. AI models can produce similar output for other users, so we cannot promise that Output is unique or that it can be protected by copyright.
- You confirm that you have all the rights and permissions needed for Your Content, including consent from every identifiable person whose photos you upload to create a persona.
- If you make a project public, anyone with the link can see it until you make it private again.
- We do not use Your Content or Output to train our own AI models.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- create images of a real person without their permission, or content that impersonates or falsely suggests endorsement by a real person, brand or organization;
- create sexual content involving real people, any content that sexualizes minors, or content that is violent, hateful, harassing or that promotes self-harm;
- infringe copyrights, trademarks, publicity or privacy rights, or other third-party rights;
- create misleading content meant to deceive viewers, such as fake news, scams or election misinformation;
- break the law, YouTube’s policies or the policies of any platform where you publish Output;
- reverse engineer, scrape or overload the Service, get around credit or rate limits, or access it by automated means other than our official API and MCP server;
- resell, sublicense or share access to your account or credits, or create multiple accounts to collect free credits.
We may refuse, block or remove requests and content that we reasonably believe break these rules. Our AI providers also apply their own safety filters.
Integrations and third parties
You can connect AI agents and apps (such as Claude, Cursor or VS Code) to Ctrbuddy through our MCP server. Connected apps act on your behalf and spend your credits within the limits you set. You can revoke access at any time from your integration settings. Third-party apps, YouTube and other services you use with Ctrbuddy are governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.
Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, branding and documentation, belongs to us and our licensors. We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it under these Terms. If you send us feedback, we may use it without any obligation to you.
Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing support@ctrbuddy.com.
We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. Where reasonable, we will warn you first. If we close your account without cause, we will refund the unused part of any prepaid subscription. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as ownership, disclaimers, liability and governing law) will continue to apply.
Disclaimers
AI-generated output can be inaccurate, unexpected or unsuitable. Review Output before you publish it. Thumbnail scores are estimates and do not guarantee views, clicks or revenue.
To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim or 50 USD.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, such as liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Indemnity
If you use the Service for business purposes, you agree to defend and indemnify us against third-party claims arising from Your Content, your use of Output or your breach of these Terms.
Changes to the service and terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will tell you by email or in the app at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after that date, you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, cancel your subscription before then.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Morocco, and the courts of Morocco have jurisdiction, unless the mandatory consumer laws of your country of residence give you the right to bring a claim locally. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve any issue informally.
